1. Black and white televisions. With no remote controls, you are compelled to get up to change the channel. Entertainment and exercise rolled into one.
2. Rotary-dial phones. Look at the giant dial, and the minimal design. No wonder some of the modern touch-tone phones copy this classic.
3. Hairstyles. It was all about keeping it natural. Nowadays, people use more products to create a ‘natural' look. Ironic isn't it?
4. Disco. A few simple stepsthat didn't require years atdance school.
5. Cassette tapes. Sturdier and don't get scratched easily. For these reasons they win over CDs.
6. Body lotions and shampoos. Why do companies discontinue with products that we grew up with? I found comfort in the scent of the stuff that I used as a child.
7. Old-school music. I'm willing to give anything to be able to watch a live show of The Carpenters or Bob Marley… the best of all time.
8. Fashion. From dresses to bell-bottoms, fashion was simple and classy. It was not about how much skin you show.
9. The original disposal diapers. Thanks to the one-size-fits-all, you didn't have to spend hours figuring out which is the right one for your child.
10. Cars. Each one had so much personality. It's all about space and fuel-efficiency these days.
