Dubai: Lebanese superstar Ragheb Alama will hit Abu Dhabi’s new indoor FGB Arena at Zayed Sport City on February 28.

The concert, which accommodates up to 3,500 attendees, will mark the first of a series of concerts titled “Arabian Sensations” featuring household Middle Eastern performers.

Alama, who built a name for himself in the 1980s and has released 17 albums in the decades since, went platinum in 2009 with his last album, Baa’sha’ak (“I’m in Love With You”). Most recently, he’s become known as the head of jurors on the talent “Arab Idol”.

As a UNEP Goodwill Ambassador for the Arab Region since June 2013, he’s also involved in humanitarian work and is active in issues of climate change.

A special guest performer, who has yet to be announced, will perform with Alama at his UAE date.
