Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury is attracted to older women
Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury hasn't loved that much, but says he goes crazy when he does.
Lebanese singer Wael Kfoury is attracted to older women, he said in a recent radio interview.
"I can communicate better with older women, either intellectually or sexually," he confessed.
"Women are very important in my life. And I can really go crazy when I am in love", he added. "I fell in love only once in my life. I was very young and I was scared of taking responsibilities, so I told her that I cannot marry her", he said.
Kfoury said that despite his fame he remains devoutly religious. "I am a believer and I go to church regularly. When I am tired of life, I pray. I ask God to be with me and to preserve my family," he said.
He admitted that moving to Beirut was initially hard: "Imagine me a very young man, living in Zahleh [a Lebanese city in the Bekaa valley] eating fresh vegetables and fruits and traditionally made cheese& And then I arrived in Beirut. It wasn't easy for me to get used to fast food.
"I learned a lot and I will never forget what I have been through."
"I started going to Beirut when I was 16. I remember that I used to take a taxi-service and to bargain on the price saying to the driver, 'I want to eat a sandwich in Beirut today.' I used to go to the capital to learn to play the oud as well as musical theory. Then my aunts and uncles helped me to enter a private university in order to study music. I always felt that I would become a star," he said.
Kfoury recently released his new song Iza Hobna Ghalta (If our Love is a Mistake) and will sing in concert in Amman on May 14.
