Shut Up N Kiss Me
Alisha Chinai

Made In India and Kajrare are undoubtedly the two songs that sum up Alisha Chinai's glorious musical achievements. Despite a fairly long career, there is very little to Chinai's credit beyond these two chartbusters. At best, she can be described as a slightly amateurish, husky-voiced singer who relies on her sensual image far too much.

In her previous album she tried her hand at softer Indian folk style but in this album she returns to her tried and tested formula of sensual western-ish songs. As many as four composers – Ravi Bal, Sachin Gupta, Apache Indian and Tom Lowry – have been brough in to create variety but they fail to create any memorable tune.

The music is the typical fusion of techno, pop, rock and hip-hop with a smattering of different Indian folk styles. Mediocre Hinglish lyrics (written by Alisha) such as Dil Goes Boom and the title track make this album a run-of-the-mill affair.

Tere Bin
Master Salim
This album is a compilation of Salim's Punjabi songs reflecting various moods. Composer Sachin Ahuja's music relies on earthy traditional Punjabi folk tunes and rhythmic songs to make the album a cut above the rest. Tracks such as Tere Bina, Salaam, Sap Wangu, Vigar Gayi, Maa and Nachne Nu are the interesting ones.

Various Artistes

This album features groovy remixes of some popular Bollywood hits of the past three decades Pyar Hamein Kis Modpar, Jaane Jaan, Jaanu Meri Jaan, Aa Dekhen Zara and Sanam Tum Jahan. Leading DJs such as Nasha, Ash, Reme, Kris, Whosane and Manoj provide a facelift to the sparkling R.D. Burman originals from the '70s and '80s.

Hit List 2007
Various Artistes

This compilation which handpicks few of the recent Bollywood hits is a mixed bag in terms of quality. A few good songs such as Tere Bin (from Bas Ek Pal), Piya and Jag Laal Laal (both from Big Brother)are outnumbered by average fares such as Dil Mein Baji Guitar (from Apna Sapna Money Money) and Aashiqana Aalam (from Good Boy Bad Boy).
