What's important is remaining focused on the long-term goal

I don't know why it happened. It could possibly be overconfidence or dementia due to cravings or a mechanical error (I wish!) but, somehow, I was weighing my food wrong. For two days, I ended up eating double the portions allotted to me. Somehow, I felt stuffed after each meal and wondered whether my stomach had shrunk or whether I was just seeing big.
Moreover, I went to a wedding party on Saturday and imagine what would have happened? It was as if the wonderful smelling ouzi, kebabs and koftas, and dripping umm ali and cheesecakes were there solely for me.
I ate one lamb kebab, steamed veggies and lettuce and was applauded by my biryani-eating friends.
Tiny transgression
But I was sure Dr Javed Hingora wouldn't join them. Another "transgression" I made last week was I twice popped in two Panadols. Now, I'm no paracetamol junkie; I have suffered from migraines since I was a teen. Luckily, for the past few months, I've been good and didn't need it till one evening this week. Moreover, I had an outdoor assignment the next day and the sun lurrvves my head.
My afternoon dizzy spells refuse to go away, though I walk faster and longer now. Yoga is helpful and an hour's session gives a great workout. I've crossed last week's jinx and the weighing scales have tipped again. I lost a couple of kilos more and another inch. I know my indiscretions will cost me but how much? Let's hear from Hingora:
"One-off ‘cheating' does not have such a bad effect. It's OK as long as exceptions remain exceptions and do not become rules. What is more important is to keep the ultimate goal in mind and keep oneself motivated by the results achieved so far. The more you progress, the more you will be hungry [not for food but for better results]. I see the best results with those who really want the results badly. Those who are the types who would save for the future or control their urge for the greater good find it easy to achieve their goal. When I started on the programme, I was 81kg. All I wanted was to lose 6kg. I lost 12kg in 12 weeks and I am still not satisfied. At 69kg, I want a perfect body with a six pack!
"It is, however, crucial to support this progress with the right homoeopathic remedies. Chemical medicines will invariably affect the digestive system adversely and cause the body to be confused. It also puts a processing load on the liver and kidneys, apart from weakening the immune system. One should only resort to it in case of emergencies. If you respect your body by not dumping garbage into it, you would have a clean house [body] to live in."
Ok, I'm going to be good! More from me next week.
