The second night of Arab Fashion Week on the Queen Elizabeth 2 exhibited the best designers from around the world, including Italy, US and Lebanon. Just as the first day, off-white and ivory were clear winners. The shows lived up to the grandeur of the magnificent cruise and was definitely one of its kind. Shows by Simone Racioppo and Fllumae stole the limelight with their chic, bold and edgy showcase.

Simone Racioppo

It was all about fringes and trails for Italian designer, Racioppo. As the models sashayed down the ramp, we saw a fusion of off-white and solid colours — red and black in particular — with quirky sunglasses making some serious style statements. Definitely something we hope to see a lot more of in the UAE.

Vanessa Willafane

Defining style and elegance, Argentina based Willafane brought in some modern bride looks with detailed and intricate work. From ball gowns to plush red trails, Willafane offered a diversity not just in style, but colours too. Brides, watch out for this one!

Fllumae

A power-packed collection by the Saidi sisters, surely made some heads turn with their uber-cool and chic style. As they strive to maintain modern fashion with class, they beautifully exhibit a fusion of eastern and western culture. Closing the show was a black trail gracefully flowing down the ramp by the show-stopper and the sisters.

Asmaraia

Conveying her roots and culture through her collection, renowned UAE-based designer showcased the best of abaya-style metallic-coloured overcoats paired with statement belts. The fashion house also brought subtlety with stunning cape-like creations and definitely stepped up their game.
