An event on January 31 is catered to the care of stray animals in the UAE.
The Animal Project, a group of people dedicated to animal welfare, is organising a fund raising walkathon to improve the situation for stray animals.
It is called ‘The Animal Guardian Angels Walk’. We are organising this event on January 31, from 8.30 to 10.30am outside Al Safa Park. The anticipated number of people attending ranges between 200 to 400.
Participants can come, register, donate to their heart’s content and walk a round of the park in support of humane solutions in managing the stray animals’ situation. By doing this, it would improve animal welfare and allow other countries to be inspired by our effective measures.
We are expecting this event to be a success, similar to our previous events, and help us generate sufficient funds to complete areas with trap-neuter-return (TNR), a method of trapping stray cats, neutering them and returning them to the location where they were collected.
We also plan to have a raffle draw for our participants as a token of appreciation.

The Animal Project:
We are a group of people who think that animals in our society are the community’s responsibility. By believing that, we can all make a positive difference. We are already implementing positive solutions for animals as part of the city’s urban development and we have been working hand in hand with the authorities for many years.
We work directly with the community facilitating information, providing discounted veterinary clinics rates, advertising and finding suitable permanent homes for their fostered or unwanted pets. We also provide legal advice and action to be taken as per Law No. 16 for Animal Welfare in the UAE and we encourage and help the community to be aware of their social responsibility.
