Gulf News readers have been friends for 9 years
“We made it through medical school. I guess that sums up our friendship,” Emirati doctor and Gulf News reader Bara’a Al Budoor told the newspaper.
Bara’a and his best friend Rashid Mahboubi recently graduated from medical school in Ireland, and as they’ve just moved back to the UAE, they are now also working at the same hospital.
Bara’a said: “The best thing about our friendship is that we’ve known each other throughout the toughest years of our lives so far, and we know our capabilities well, so we know how to push each other to reach the maximum result.”
Having accomplished seven years of studying, there has been some good and bad times. “No matter how tiring and exhausting it was at times, we always managed to turn it into something fun, and we’re still having fun!” said Rashid.
The two have known each other for the past nine years and although they tend to joke around with each other, they have never fought with each other.
Rashid explained: “I think that it signifies a strong friendship when you can go overboard but as you know the intentions of the person, it doesn’t upset you.”
