Reader: Sharhaj needs street lights

These photos were taken on Al Ghuwair Street, Sharjah. This is a very busy road with many shopping plazas, restaurants and bus stands so people visit this area in large numbers everyday, especially during holidays.

In the photo we see a big crowd but I am really amazed to see there are no proper street lights. The area is almost completely dark except the headlights of the cars and buses and the little light from sign boards.

This is very unsafe, especially for women and children and makes travelling hard for them. I request the authorities to please take immediate action and arrange proper street lights in this area.
