Commuters have to wait for more than half an hour at times as there seems to be a shortage of cabs
Recently, I came out of the Union Square Metro Station and walked towards the taxi stand right in front of the station. To my astonishment, there was not a single taxi available at the taxi stand.
After waiting for more than half an hour, I was able to find a taxi. The Metro did not take me more than 15 minutes to reach my destination, but the actual delay occurs in finding a taxi. This has happened on more than one occasion.
I request the authorities to kindly look into this issue and to ensure that an ample number of taxis are available at the taxi stand for passengers.
Moreover, there should be some taxis always available at the taxi stand outside Union Square Metro Station because usually a large crowd of people gather at the taxi stand to hail a taxi and everyone is in a hurry to reach their respective destinations.
