Reader asked for a loan amount, but the bank put on a higher amount without approval
Loan amount not approved
A FGB salesperson approached me last month and I applied for a credit card, on which they gave me an easy cash option of Dh60,000. I required this amount for a month and the salesperson told me that it could be closed if I paid one per cent of the total outstanding amount and Dh100 as early closure fee.
Now, I have the money and I want to close the loan. When I called the FGB call centre, they told me that I need to pay the remaining interest amount for the whole year and only then would I be able to close the loan.
Moreover, a sales executive misguided me with information about the loan and its closure, and another representative of FGB placed a loan of Dh90,000 in my account without my approval.
I have raised two complains against FGB, however, nobody has gotten back to me with feedback. I hope Gulf News would be able to sort out this matter for me.
