Today is the International Day of Happiness and we have one question for you; are you happy?
Happiness is all about your thoughts, your mind and your need to be happy. This in no way undermines what happens in your life, but happiness or sorrow depends on how you handle the aftermath of these happenings. Situations or events move your thoughts a certain way, but if you are able to focus on trying your best to be happy, you will be.
Most of us would be unable to answer the question of whether we are truly and completely happy as there are so many things involved or so we think. If you look at what great thinkers have said, it need not be that difficult to say you are happy as happiness is supposed to simple and complete.
Our health, relationships, positive energy, meaningfulness in work and life in general, impact how happy or sad we feel.
Take our quiz and we could tell you how much happiness you think you have. Each of these questions also underline what you need to do to be truly happy.
If you are happy, there is a bigger opportunity for you to bring happiness into other people's lives. Helping others brings joy and a sense of giving back which is necessary to be happy in the long run.
If our quiz shows you as deserving more joy, you need to focus on the brighter parts of life, while keeping people and things that matter closer to your heart. You need to find meaningful relationships, a good work environment and a positive attitude to life. If something is not working, letting go would be the best way forward.
If at the end of our quiz, your answer is to find more clarity, that is exactly what you need to aim for. There are no 'maybe's and 'I don't know's in a happy person's vocabulary. Find your jam and be as happy as you can be. Life is short and there is no time to waste being insecure or unhappy.
