Falling plant pots a threat to public safety

Plants are an essential part of our lives. Apart from the clean air they give us, they soothe our otherwise stressful lives. Hence, gardening is a great hobby to pursue. However, potted plants kept carelessly in high-rise buildings are highly dangerous. You must avoid placing them on the balcony rail at any cost. Even when you keep it inside, you should secure it properly.

I took this photograph moments after a pot fell just a few metres from where I was standing. Residents in the building across the one I live in keep their pots on the balcony rail.

This is a common sight in most residential areas. Authorities must warn the occupants against such practices.
