Children are seen playing around this broken lamppost, which could cause harm
It is lovely to see children playing, jumping, giggling and enjoying life. The area around Sharjah Art Museum, Al Shuwaiheen area, has been recently refurbished and has become a major attraction for children and tourists alike.
In such a beautiful area, it is gloomy to see a broken lamppost. A broken lamp is an eyesore, but moreover two remaining lamps on the pole are dangling hazardously. They can fall on the ground and possibly, God forbid, hurt any body. Since more children are now present in the area, it is a potential risk for all of them who are playing there.
When I noticed this, I informed all the children who were playing nearby not to go near the ill-fated lamp post as a safety precaution. But my concern is that many other children may came to play over the course of the next few days. Unknowingly, they may get hurt if the lamp falls.
It is imperative that the defective lamps be immediately replaced. I urge the authorities to take suitable and urgent action in this regard.
