Organisers of Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD), the twice-yearly showcase for designers from across the region, have announced the event will be postponed “until further notice”.

“Events agency FFWD LLC, the creators and producers behind Fashion Forward Dubai are committed to ensuring the next Fashion Forward experience is sustainable and addresses the needs of a rapidly evolving industry. For now, future editions of Fashion Forward Dubai, the bi-annual event, are postponed until further notice,” the company said in a statement.

Founded in 2013, the event quickly established itself as the go-to platform for emerging and established designers to showcase their collections, and be recognised. In 2016, is was officially endorsed by the Dubai Design and Fashion Council (DDFC). FFWD was also named as the nominated body for the International Woolmark Prize, considered one of the world’s most prestigious fashion awards.
