Kanye West got an assist from wife Kim Kardashian West on Wednesday after the rapper went on a Twitter tirade about his business and his support for US President Donald Trump; the latest of many recently. Kardashian West defended her mogul husband and his mental health, saying West has always been one to speak his mind.

“To the media trying to demonise my husband let me just say this... your commentary on Kanye being erratic & his tweets being disturbing is actually scary. So quick to label him as having mental health issues for just being himself when he has always been expressive is not fair,” she said, kicking off a series of tweets.

Kardashian West praised her husband for explaining his business decision to get rid of his manager and some attorneys, and also talked about his politics and further chided the media for questioning his sanity.

“Mental Health is no joke and the media needs to stop spitting that out so casually. Bottom line,” she said.

In November 2016, after Kim’s robbery at gunpoint in Paris and worn out by his work on the album The Life of Pablo and its ensuing tour, West was hospitalised for exhaustion and sleep deprivation and subsequently placed on a psychiatric hold.

For his part Wednesday, West was indeed on fire with big plans — at last look his tweet storm Wednesday had 70-plus posts and counting — especially when it came to his Yeezy business, which he said is expanding.

“[T]here’s been a lot of fake news so I just wanted to give you the facts,” he said. “Yeezy will become the biggest apparel company in human history by working with the most genius level talents and creating product at an affordable price. I hired the head of supply chain from the Gap.”

That last part is true — it happened two months ago. As for the affordable price claim, well, that’s up for debate. Or maybe it’s not? “We will reach the prices I’ve promised,” West tweeted before launching into some statistics about Yeezy shoe sales.

“I am this generations Ford Hughes Jobs Disney,” he said, presumably referencing the innovators Henry Ford, Howard Hughes, Steve Jobs and Walt Disney.

West also confirmed a Tuesday report by the Blast that manager Scooter Braun and some legal help had been canned, but said they’ve been replaced.

“[Y]es I got rid of my last lawyer why? Because he wouldn’t come to work full time. I also asked my last manager to come work full time for Yeezy of course the last lawyer and manager said no. So now I hired a CEO and a CFO and i have two full time lawyers as of now,” he explained.

“I can’t be managed,” West said in one of multiple tweets, adding, “I’m nobody’s ‘client.’”

Manager or not, he’s been busy. In addition to working on those albums that are due out in June, he’s been registering the “Yeezus” trademark like mad, dropping numerous applications with the US Trademark and Patent Office on Friday. Covered are products including stores, toys, novelties, luggage — you name it, he’s aiming to trademark it.

And before flashing his signed MAGA hat Wednesday, West explained again that he loves President Trump. They both have “dragon energy,” which he had explained Tuesday as “Natural born leaders Very instinctive Great foresight.” And hey, he loves Hillary Clinton too. Heck, he loves everybody.

Even Trump himself liked that last one.
