Actor Justin Theroux has been radio silent on social media since his split with Jennifer Aniston was announced earlier this month.
But with a little help from some friends, the Leftovers star made a triumphant return to Instagram: Theroux posted a bundle of photos of himself and perfect puppies from Austin Pets Alive, a nonprofit organisation dedicated to preventing the euthanising of adoptable dogs and cats.
“Texas!!!,” Theroux wrote in the caption accompanying his photos. “Another very inspiring visit with the incredible people and pups @austinpetsalive.”
“I cannot understand how they do what they do, day after day, so consistently and lovingly to save so many dogs and cats,” Theroux continued. “I HIGHLY recommend going in and getting your nose bit by a toothless baby pitbull. [These] two aren’t yet ready to go, but when they are go get em...”
The two in question were a pair of pint-sized pitbulls who were as taken with Theroux’s nose as any of us might be.
Animal advocacy is nothing new for Theroux, whose Instagram feed is full of love and support for no-kill shelters all across the country, as well as photos of the actor with his own dogs.
