Dolly Parton is back working 9 to 5 — in the streaming world.

The country-music icon has teamed with Warner Bros. Television and Netflix to produce an anthology series of “television films” based on her songs.

“As a songwriter, I have always enjoyed telling stories through my music. I am thrilled to be bringing some of my favourite songs to life with Netflix,” Parton said in a statement on Monday.

The eight episodes are set to premiere in 2019 on Netflix.

Parton will produce the shows under her Dixie Pixie Productions banner, according to her website. She will also serve as a singer-songwriter and executive producer and will appear in select episodes.

The Grammy winner previously teamed with Warner Bros. for the NBC specials Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors (2015) and Dolly Parton’s Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love (2016), the latter of which was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.

The two-time Oscar nominee — whose hits include I Will Always Love You, Islands in the Stream, Jolene and 9 to 5 — is currently wrapping up music for the forthcoming musical Dumplin’, starring Danielle Macdonald and Jennifer Aniston. The soundtrack album will be released via Dolly Records/Sony Music Nashville.
