Amitabh Bachchan has confirmed his participation in the sixth edition of Muscat International Film Festival from March 13-20, according to the organisers in Muscat.
According to a member of the organising committee, Bachchan will be in Oman to receive a lifetime achievement award, while actor Shabana Azmi will attend as the president of the jury of the international sections.
South Indian megastar Mohanlal, Oscar-winner Resul Pookutty, director Antonino Sucameli, actor Franco Nero and Masdah Azahbah are the other international film stars coming to Muscat for the festival.
About 72 films from around 20 countries are expected to be screened at the festival. Of these, 15 are for the international competition section while an equal number of films of Arab origin will be screened at the festival.
