Immediately after Milan, Paris Fashion Week concluded the menswear fashion circuit in January with a six-day schedule featuring some amazing highlights from the likes of Louis Vuitton, Dior, and Hermès. Check out the best of Paris Fashion Week below…

Givenchy

As one of the first major shows on Day One of Paris Fashion Week a lot was riding on Givenchy’s collection showcased against a bright white space, which focused all the attention purely on Matthew M Williams’ latest menswear creations without any interfering distractions. The collection went from formal to casual, starting with impeccably tailored suits and moving gradually on to what Williams calls contemporary masculinity - colour, texture, and lots and lots of layers, to inspire the idea of self expression with a wanton disregard for the traditional ‘rules’ of fashion.

Louis Vuitton

Louis Vuitton’s show opened with a live performance by Spanish singer Rosalia who wowed guests, darting around the set and dancing around the VIPs and celebrities in attendance. Models, too, mingled with the guests, walking around the place and interacting with the set designed as an interior of a home that was specially created for the Louis Vuitton show by Michel Gondry, director of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Louis Vuitton still hasn’t named a successor for the late Virgil Abloh, and this season’s men’s collection came from the Maison’s in-house team collaborating with American designer and artist KidSuper.

Dior Homme

Dior, too, put on a celebrity-studded show attended by more than one thousand screaming fans delirious about the chance of getting a glimpse of their idols such as David Beckham, Naomi Campbell, and K-Pop superstars. A poetry recital by British actors Robert Pattinson and Gwendoline Christie served as the backdrop for Kim Jones’ latest collection for Dior, inspired by the house’s heritage and particularly the period in the 1950s when Yves Saint Laurent took over as head designer from Christian Dior.

Hermès

Véronique Nichanian presented her elegant and meticulous collection for Hermès at the Maison de L’Unesco building in Paris, a significant symbol of 20th century modern architecture. For the latest Hermès menswear collection, Nichanian explored her passion for sensual fabrics such as cashmere, leather, silk, and satin.
