The Saudi National Museum in Riyadh is hosting the Van Cleef & Arpels “Time, Nature, Love” exhibition displaying the artefacts and precious objects from the Maison’s 116-year long history
For the first time ever, the Van Cleef & Arpels “Time, Nature, Love” exhibition will be opening in the Kingdom featuring nearly 300 pieces.
The Saudi National Museum in Riyadh just announced the news, with a date set for January 19 for the opening of the exhibition which will display more than 280 jewellery pieces, watches and other precious objects from 116-year long history of the iconic French jewellery Maison. In addition to the priceless artefacts the exhibition will also feature archival documents, sketches and gouaché designs.
Curated by Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewelry Design at Milan Polytechnic University and President of the Milano Fashion Institute, the exhibition will be held in a specially designed set created by international architect-designer Johanna Grawunder. The conceptual idea for the exhibition, according to Cappellieri, is an interpretation of the Maison’s creations over time through Italian writer Italo Calvino’s “Six Memos for the Next Millennium”.
Cappellieri divided the exhibition into three sections, hence the name, “Time, Nature, Love”. ‘Time’ extends across 10 rooms, ‘Love' is at the centre of the exhibition, and ‘Nature’ is the final section made up of Van Cleef & Arpels’ expressions botany, flora and fauna.
Running from January 19 to mid-April 2023 at the Saudi National Museum in Riyadh, the Van Cleef & Arpels “Time, Nature, Love” exhibition is a rare insight into a treasure trove of history, supported by the Saudi Ministry of Culture.
