The 14 winners at The CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2022 each received a unique piece hand finished by 20th century Maestro, Michelangelo Pistoletto

The CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2022 awarded 14 prizes and two special mentions at a ceremony held at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan during Fashion Week.

In collaboration with the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) of the United Nations, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and a partnership with The Bicester Collection, the awards evening saw winners receiving an exceptional reproduction of the Michelangelo Pistoletto’s iconic piece, Venere degli Stracci, made for the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2022 with 3D printing and finished by hand by Maestro Pistoletto himself. Each of the 14 pieces is unique and absolutely exclusive to the corresponding winner.

Award categories included: the Sea Beyond Award by Prada Group; The Climate Action Award: La Soledad x Gucci; The Social Impact Award; The Groundbreaker Award; The Human Rights Award; The Bicester Collection Award for Emerging Designers; The Philantrophy & Society Award; The Ellen MacArthur Foundation Award for Circular Economy; The Pioneer Award; The Equity and Inclusivity Award; The Biodiversity Conservation Award; The Craft & Italian Artisanship Award; The Woolmark Company Award for Innovation; and The Visionary Award.

In addition two special mentions were also awarded, one to Italian textile company Ratti, and another to Adut Akech, the South Sudanese model.
