Van Cleef & Arpels’ ‘Time, Nature, Love’ exhibition has opened in Riyadh running until April 15 with admission to the public free of charge at the National Museum of Saudi Arabia.
The immersive exhibition by the legendary French high jewellery brand invites visitors to experience the unique history, artistry and craftsmanship of the Maison with a rare insight into an expansive and first-of-its-kind collection of displayed pieces.
Some 280 pieces of jewelry, watches, and precious objects from Van Cleef & Arpels’ 117-year long history are part of the exhibition, as well as more than 90 precious archival documents, sketches and gouaché designs. Priceless exhibits include pieces previously owned by the likes of Elizabeth Taylor, Grace Kelly, Queen Nazli of Egypt, and Princess Fawzia of Egypt.
Curator Alba Cappellieri, Professor of Jewelry Design at Milan Polytechnic University and President of the Milano Fashion Institute, themed the exhibition around three dedicated sections - Time, Nature, and Love - with scenography by renowned American architect and designer Johanna Grawunder.
