Complete with a life-size replica of the iconic maison’s mascot Vivienne looking dutifully over the whole thing, Louis Vuitton has just opened its first boutique in Qatar Duty Free at the Hamad international Airport in Doha.
Situated right next to the airport’s famous giant Lamp Bear installation by Swiss artist Urs Fischer who sculpted the two-storey piece from bronze, the newest Louis Vuitton location can be visited at the South Node Plaza. The opening makes this the third Louis Vuitton location in Doha, the brand having opened its first store in the country in Vilagio Mall fourteen years ago, with a second location following earlier this year in Place Vendôme.
The Hamad International Airport store stocks a full portfolio of Louis Vuitton leather goods, ready-to-wear, textiles, watches, jewelry, accessories, fragrances and shoes, for both men and women, with a highlight on the maison’s heritage of travel and discovery. Through its elegant creations such as luggage, bags and accessories, Louis Vuitton has practically invented the “Art of Travel” concept staying faithful to the spirit of its founder who started making luxury trunks way back in 1854 on Rue Neuve des Capucines in Paris.
The award-winning duty-free in Doha features more than 90 additional luxury concept shops as well as a range of fine dining restaurants and cafes offering a wide variety of cuisines.
