Dubai: Groups have been drawn for the PSA World Series Finals, which take centre stage at Emirates Golf Club from June 5 to 9.

Defending champion and World No.1 Mohammad Al Shorbagy is in Group A with his brother Marwan, recent British Open winner Miguel Angel Rodriguez and three-time World Series Finals champion Gregory Gaultier.

World No.2 Ali Farag heads Group B with Simon Rosner, Tarek Momen and Karim Abdul Jawad.

The women’s pairings see last year’s runner-up and current World No.1 Nour Al Sherbini drawn alongside Nour Al Tayeb, Joelle King and Nouran Gohar in Group A, and defending champion Laura Massaro up against reigning world champion Raneem Al Welily, Camille Serme and Sarah-Jane Perry in Group B.

The top eight men and women in the PSA World Series standings have qualified and will compete for a share of the $320,000 (Dh1.175 million) prize purse, which is split equally across both men’s and women’s divisions.

Players will face-off in a round-robin best-of-three format, with the top two from each group progressing to the semi-finals.

Group matches will be played at 3.00pm, 3.45pm, 4.30pm and 5.15pm in Group B or 8.00pm, 8.45pm, 9.30pm and 10.15pm in Group A from June 5 to 7. The semi-finals will take place from 8.00pm on June 8, with the finals starting at 8.00pm on June 9.
