Sri Lankan singer Sanuka Wickramasinghe will make his debut in Dubai at the Colombo Music Festival on April 6.
The vocalist, son of musician Sangeeth Wickramasinghe, will take the stage at Asiana Hotel in Deira, with his band Wayo.
His debut song, Amma, a dedication to his mother, appeared on YouTube seven years ago. His latest release was Perawadanak.
“We expect a full house as Sanuka will be performing live for the first time in Dubai. Sanuka is something of an enigma, one who has brought an exciting new energy on the Sri Lankan music scene,” said Sunesh Chaminda, director of the Colombo Music Festival, in a statement.
Tickets are Dh150, which can be purchased over the phone or at the door. With any purchase of 10 tickets, one ticket will be offered free.
