Make sure you bring your creepy costumes out early for Fiesta De Los Muertos this Friday. The single-day, Halloween-themed music festival — which, we understand, will be an annual thing — will be taking place next door to PopCon at Autism Rocks Arena.

Though PopCon is free to attend, tickets to the festival start from Dh350 at 117live.com.

Here’s who you can expect to see, and when you can expect to see them:

6.30pm: Carla’s Dreams

First, we up the spook factor up to 11. Musically, Moldovan group Carla’s Dreams have been called everything from pop and R’n’B to jazz and reggae, but it’s their look that gives us the heebie-jeebies — the band is anonymous, performing in hoodies, masks and eerie facial make-up.

7.25pm: All Saints

In the ’90s and noughties, before Little Mix and Fifth Harmony were born, there was a little girl group called All Saints that topped the UK charts. They’ll be bringing their hits — Never Ever, Lady Marmalade and Black Coffee to name a few — to Dubai for some nostalgia-infused fun.

8.25pm: The Mariachis

The Mariarchis will infuse a hint of Mexican tradition and sound into the line-up, adding their own personal touch to some familiar pop songs.

8.45pm: DNCE

Joe Jonas made a roaring return to the music scene with DNCE, a group that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Cake by the Ocean earwormed everyone who heard it, and Toothbrush is getting just as much airplay. If you want to have your cake and eat it too — you’re in good hands

10.55pm: Dany Neville

Dany Neville became a staple of the UAE’s radio and nightlife scene in 2000, getting his first gig on Radio 1 at 17 years old. Ironically, it was the graveyard shift — from 2am-6pm. Neville is known for his love of hip hop and R’n’B, and will get the crowd ready for Major Lazer.

10.35pm: Major Lazer

Major Lazer is one of the most popular electronic trios of their generation. Diplo, Jillionaire and Walshy Fire have found commercial success with hits such as Lean On and Cold Water.

12.10am: Hollaphonic

Homegrown electronic duo Hollaphonic, made up of English musicians Olly Wood and Greg Stainer, will end the night — or rather, start Saturday up — with a boom, boom bang.

THE AFTERPARTY

If you’re not ready to hit the sack after all of that, you can head over to the official after-party at 360, the night club at Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach Hotel, hosted by Diplo and All Saints. Tickets to that are Dh200, available from platinumlist.net.
