As the UAE continues to champion industrial self-reliance through the Make it in the Emirates initiative, Hotpack stands as a leading example of home-grown innovation scaling internationally.

Founded in the UAE in 1995 by Abdul Jebbar PB and Zainudeen PB, Hotpack has evolved from a trading venture into the GCC’s largest food packaging manufacturer, with 20 facilities and exports to 106 countries.

Serving leading international brands, Hotpack offers a portfolio of over 4,000 products across diverse material categories - including paper, aluminium, plastic, and user-friendly eco-conscious alternatives - delivering convenience, quality, and reliability to global partners.

At the core of Hotpack’s growth is a commitment to building and innovating within the UAE. Its UAE-based manufacturing hubs serve as springboards for international expansion, including investments in Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, India, and most recently, the United States.

“Make it in the Emirates is not just a slogan. It’s a strategic vision that resonates deeply with us,” said Dr Mike Cheetham, Global Business Director & Head of Sustainability, “Hotpack has grown from a modest operation in Dubai to a global packaging force, and our UAE roots have empowered us with world-class infrastructure, trade access, and policy support to take this journey.”

In addition to industrial growth, Hotpack’s alignment with national priorities extends to sustainability. With 96 per cent of its products being recyclable or compostable, and recent renewable energy initiatives like its 2.2 MW rooftop solar plant in Dubai, the company integrates environmental responsibility into its manufacturing DNA.

“As we expand our global footprint, our foundation in the UAE ensures that every innovation we take to the world is built on the principles of excellence, responsibility, and sustainability,” added Dr. Mike, “We are proud to be part of the industrial backbone of this nation and remain committed to carrying forward its vision through every milestone.”

With over 4,200 employees and a growing presence in key markets, Hotpack exemplifies how the UAE’s industrial ambitions are already reshaping global sectors from within.
