When did Advanced Media get into drone retailing. How big and mature is the market for drones in the UAE and region?

We entered the consumer drone business in 2012, initially procuring flight controllers, camera stabilizers, and frame from DJI while integrating third-party modules—primarily for aerial photography and videography.

The launch of the DJI Phantom as an entry-level, ready-to-fly drone marked a turning point in the industry. Its user-friendly design made drone technology more accessible compared to other models, setting the stage for significant advancements in both consumer and professional drone markets. Within the UAE and the region, drones are now widely utilized across various industries, including media and entertainment, construction, agriculture, public safety, and defense. The regional drone market is expanding rapidly, thanks to technological advancements.

The manner in which creators approach their art is constantly evolving. How is AMT keeping pace with the evolving needs of the creator community, what are the trends you see in the space?

We stay closely connected with creators by regularly collecting feedback to understand their challenges. By partnering with a diverse group of creators, we gain valuable insights that guide our decisions. Additionally, hosting regular workshops, webinars, and exhibitions give us an opportunity to better understand the creative demands and trend, and respond accordingly.

What is the growth trajectory for AMT that you have charted over the next couple of years?

We are committed to a steady growth over the next few years by having actionable goals, and adaptability to evolving market trends. With a strong focus on expansion into new markets, we aim to position Advanced Media as a leading force in the Middle East.

Our vision has always been being the go-to platform for broadcasters, filmmakers, and content creators by continuously diversifying our products and services.

As business head for the brand, how do you evaluate your personal contributions towards the growth of AMT?

The marketing team plays a crucial role in driving the company's growth by building brand awareness, attracting customers, and ensuring sustained engagement. Acting as the bridge between the company and its audience, marketing ensures that the products and services approach the right people at the right time.

I am proud to acknowledge that Advanced Media is well-positioned in the industry. We have established a strong and recognizable brand identity by engaging with our customers through including exhibitions, events, workshops, training sessions, and product launches. It is our strategy to focus daily on lead generation by developing and executing targeted campaigns across social media platforms and through direct communication. A major aspect of my role is supporting the sales team by enhancing customer experience and fostering brand loyalty to reach a wider audience within the market.
