It’s a boy for Adele. The singer reportedly gave birth on Friday, according to the UK’s Daily Mail, and she and boyfriend Sumon Konecki are said to be ecstatic about the new arrival.

“She was over the moon that they were expecting their first child together,” the newspaper quoted a source as saying.

Her spokesman said of Friday night’s reported birth: “We are not releasing a statement at this time. No comment.”

Adele announced her pregnancy back in June, writing on her official blog: “I’m delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together.

“I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we’re over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time. Yours always, Adele xx”
