Subscribing to the Gulf News ‘bundle subscription offer’ might get you the opportunity to win the latest Huawei device.

Recently, the third round of monthly draws took place, in partnership with tech giant Huawei. The draws are taking place over five months and the third round had five winners.

The winners headed to the Gulf News headquarters for the prize-giving ceremony, where Gulf News CEO and Editor-in-Chief Abdul Hamid Ahmad handed out the prizes.

One of the winners, Pankaj Kundra won a Huawei P40 Pro smartphone. “It’s my first time I have won in a raffle draw. Initially I thought it was a prank call but to my surprise, it was real! I’m really enjoying the moment,” the 40-year-old who works for an international payment solutions company said.

Speaking about his journey as a Gulf News subscriber, the Indian expat said: “I subscribed to Gulf News the moment I arrived in the UAE, which was in 2007. I have been a subscriber ever since. My whole family enjoys reading the content, each member has their favourite section. I usually read international and business news.”

Indian expat Denny Divakar, who has been a subscriber of Gulf News for over 15 years, won a Huawei MatePad Pro. The 40-year-old banker said: “It was such a good feeling to win, especially in the month of Ramadan. Getting the gift just felt like good luck to me.”

Talking about the content by Gulf News he enjoys reading, he said: “No competitor matches the content Gulf News has. I start the day with the paper and throughout the day I get news updates on gulfnews.com and notifications [on the app]. I especially like the editorials.”

Pakistani businessman, Shafique Akram won a Huawei Y8p smartphone in the draw. “This is the first time I have won something, I am very happy,” he said.

“I usually read the print edition and get regular news updates online on gulfnews.com. I enjoy the content because it’s very detailed and unbiased,” said the 82-year-old.
