Emma Stone, 26

Best Actress nominee, Birdman

Beauty Emma is a ‘spokesmodel’ for Revlon and says she’s allergic to a lot of products, so sticks to those that have a single ingredient. She likes Burt’s Bees and says she sometimes exfoliates with brown sugar or baking soda. She has dry skin and uses oil to hydrate it, including olive oil and Josie Maran Argan oil. She always wears mascara and is a big fan (surprise surprise) of Revlon’s lip crayons, its Lash Potion by Grow Luscious, and Photoready BB cream. Although she’s frequently seen with red hair, Emma is a natural blonde. To stay fit Emma swims and also likes Pilates, but no starvation diet for her – she believes in eating what she likes (including red velvet cupcakes).

Must-have products EltaMD SPF 45 sunscreen, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick.

Keira Knightley, 29

Best Supporting Actress nominee, The Imitation Game

Beauty Pregnant with her first child, Keira adores Chanel’s Black Inimitable mascara, and the mulberry colour of Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Scenario is the perfect complement for her dark eyes and hair. She’s known for keeping her brows looking as natural as possible. To get the same look, avoid over-plucking, waxing or threading, instead ask your beauty therapist to simply tidy your brows and embrace what nature gave you. For the Golden Globes, make-up artist Kate Lee applied Chanel’s Joues Contraste in Rose Bronze to the apples of Keira’s cheeks, Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow in Tissé Rivoli to give her those fabulous smoky eyes and Chanel Rouge Coco Ultra Hydrating Lip Colour in Etienne. Keira is anti-diets and exercise and prefers to eat what she likes, when she likes, crediting her very slim frame to good genes. Jealous, us?

Must-have product Benefit Benetint. Use just a little of the cherry-red liquid on lips or cheeks.

Katrina Kaif, 31

Bollywood beauty, actress and model

Beauty Katrina starts her day with four-five glasses of water and swears by its power to eliminate toxins from the body and increase circulation, whilst creating a flawless, clear complexion. She also sips on anti-oxidant rich green tea throughout the day, and snacks on fruit every two hours to keep her body loaded with vitamins. She also thanks acai berry supplements for her smooth, supple skin, and keeps fit by jogging, swimming and weight training. Her number one beauty rule? Wash your face properly before going to bed! And make sure you use high-quality products too. Katrina always protects her skin with an SPF and takes her haircare seriously. To give her skin a breather, she avoids wearing foundation whenever possible (and when she does she applies ice, wrapped in a muslin cloth, on her face before using it to close her pores) and instead makes her eyes do all the talking with lashings of mascara and kohl liner.

Must-have product Apricot Oil by Anne Semonin.

Rosamund Pike, 36

Best Actress nominee, Gone Girl

Beauty Often described as the modern Grace Kelly, this Bond Girl turned Gone Girl usually favours nude make-up, which perfectly accentuates her archetypal English-rose beauty. For the red carpet though, she often goes full-on glam with a deep berry lipstick. She’s also a fan of Sisley facials and Bobbi Brown nail polish. She only gave birth to her second child in December, but already looks amazing. To stay in shape, she eats salmon and broccoli and uses lots of olive oil. She plays tennis, swims, does yoga and boxes. Phew!

Must-have product Laura Mercier Undercover Pot, containing Secret Camouflage and Secret Concealer.

Deepika Padukone, 29

Bollywood star and successful model

Beauty Deepika is all for big, bold eyebrows. In fact, she insists that thicker eyebrows make you look younger. She’s also a fan of kohl liner and a dark red lipstick at prestigious events. However, she shuns make-up when she’s not on the red carpet. Protecting her skin daily with an SPF, she uses mild skincare products and works out daily to keep her body in tip-top condition. From badminton to Pilates and yoga, this leading lady loves to get her sweat on, which is why she guzzles down lots of water too. She’s also a big fan of spa treatments and has a relaxing massage once a week with lukewarm coconut or baby oil, saying, “It relaxes and rejuvenates me like nothing else.”

Must-have product Coconut oil is Deepika’s star secret for shiny, luscious locks!

Reese Witherspoon, 38

Best Actress nominee, Wild

Beauty Rosy-pink cheeks, bronze or smoky eyeshadow, black eyeliner and nude lipstick are Reese’s fail-safe formula for awards night glamour. When she’s not on the red carpet, the Avon Global Ambassador and mother-of-three likes to “keep things quick and easy’” with a fresh-faced look. Reese is said to be a fan of Hollywood dermatologist Dr Harold Lancer’s facials using sheep placenta and gold flakes. Like her character in Wild, she enjoys hiking and running to stay in shape, and is a fan of yoga.

Must-have product Ultra Facial Cream. “Now I’m in my 30s my skin is definitely different,” she says. “Looking after it properly is probably the biggest thing for me.”

Priyanka Chopra, 32

Actress, model and former Miss World winner

Beauty Priyanka Chopra, who is the face of Guess India, knows how to harness her natural beauty by using home-made remedies made from Mother Nature’s finest. She makes her own exfoliating masks with a cup of water, two spoonfuls of rice flour, and a half to a whole spoonful of honey and leaves it to work wonders on her skin for 30 minutes. Then she massages it into her face before rinsing it off with cold water. “The rice exfoliates and the honey moisturises – it’s amazing,” she says. She also uses yogurt on her face and body as a natural moisturiser. And speaking of food, this Bollywood beauty is just as careful with what she puts into her body as what she puts on to it, avoiding heavy meals and thriving on healthy snacks, raw foods and baked, steamed and stewed dishes. Of course, anything deep-fried is strictly off the menu. She loves fresh carrots and high-fibre foods, but doesn’t eat cheese or butter. To sum up her philosophy: if you eat right, you feel right.

Must-have product Priyanka loves experimenting with fragrances, favouring Flora by Gucci right now, but relying on Dolce & Gabbana The One and Ralph Lauren Romance as all-time favourites.

Julianne Moore, 54

Best Actress nominee, Still Alice

Beauty For the red carpet Julianne favours fuchsia, berry or red lipsticks with blue undertones, and before the Golden Globes she pampered herself with full-body microdermabrasion and the Triple Crown Facial from celebrity facialist Joanna Vargas. Away from the cameras, Julianne always wears sunscreen and drinks a lot of water to stay hydrated. She watches what she eats, avoiding bread and opting for fish, vegetables and salads, but recently slammed the juicing craze, saying, “I did a juice cleanse for the Golden Globes one year... the only weight I lost was in my brain.” Instead she prefers to stay in shape through yoga, interval training and lifting light weights.

Must-have products Julianne is a big fan of face oils. “I love L’Oreal Paris Age Perfect Glow Renewal Facial Oil,” she says.
