As a make-up artist I’m always trying out new looks on my face on weekdays. So on weekends I opt for a minimal, pared-down look and let my skin breathe. Friday night is usually my mask-with-a-movie night. I use Starskin masks to help my skin recover and rest.
CHANEL SEARCH
My Chanel espadrilles go everywhere with me as they’re so comfortable and chic. I am slowly finding myself collecting Chanel jewellery, too. I adore how timeless and classic they are and how elegantly they work with my wardrobe.
SWEET SECRETS
Godiva café on JBR is my favourite place to chill – mainly because it’s on my doorstep and serves the best crepes and desserts; especially chocolate-dipped strawberries.
FRIDAY FAVOURITES
I love Fridays as I can relax and enjoy time with my husband Bobby. I hit the gym for a quick cardio session and then we usually go out for breakfast on JBR, where we live, then take a long morning walk on the beach if the weather is cool enough.
ON REPLAY
I love the energy of Starboy by The Weekend. It’s my weekend tune to relax and chill. I find music therapeutic – it helps me switch off to prepare for my time off.
SPICY SCENTS
I love the spicy base of Rose Oud by Jo Malone. But for weekends I love Narciso Rodriguez – it is the perfect casual fragrance, and the scent I wore during my wedding.
HOLIDAY HOARDER
Travelling is a passion, so I splurge on holidays all the time and explore new destinations whenever I have a free week. Maldives is my favourite destination – it’s the only place where I have truly relaxed and disconnected. There was no network available outside the Kuredu Island Resort’s villas, which meant I could truly enjoy the spectacular views.
AFTER SUNSET
Sunset walks along the beach on weekends are the ideal way to relax and reflect on life. With how busy work can be it’s easy to forget how beautiful Dubai is.
HEALTHY & HAPPY
I always fit in time for the gym on the weekend and if I get a free morning during the week, 30 minutes each on the treadmill and cross trainer, followed by squats, is my routine. As a bonus I love cooking grilled chicken, salmon or vegetables. That helps me follow a balanced diet when I give into fries, roasts, apple crumble and ice cream.
APPLE EVERY DAY
Apple gadgets are my weekend saviours – Apple TV is how I catch up on movies and surf YouTube channels like Huda Beauty, Lisa Eldridge and James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke while keeping the laptop and work at bay.
