Dubai: The Global Konkani Business Meet was held at India Pavilion of Expo 2020. It was organised by Konkani International Business Council (KIBC) under the patronage of GMBF. Dubai's preparedness and openness during recent week of Pandemic made attendees brave through the travel uncertainties and arrived from US, India, Saudi, and Oman.
Everyone was welcomed and GMBF was thanked by Dilawar Dalwai, a businessman and networking enthusiast from Dubai. Parvez Hamdulay businessperson dabbling in batons industries gave the inaugural speech, where he spoke about how KIBC came into existence, its vision, mission and objectives. Ikhlaque Modak spoke about the International Road map of KIBC. Event introduced and hosted by Khalid Mukadam Reem Dalwai and Faisal Mazid.
Afzal Modak, founder of GSF Investments, spoke about building business and creating jobs. Sabina Khot Shaikh, one of the panellist, shared her views about Economic Empowerment of Konkani Women.
The key areas of discussion were:
1) New Business Evaluation and Feasibility by CA Waqar Panvelkar;
2) International Trade by CA Ismail Pawane; and
3) Doing Business the sharia compliant way by Jasim Mahadik Banking Professional.
