‘SNL’ vet joins new ‘Hamilton’ cast for Broadway
Taran Killam, who portrayed Brad Pitt and Jebidiah Atkinson during his six years on the show, will play King George III
Former Saturday Night Live star Taran Killam will be getting plenty of live performances next year — he’s joining the Broadway company of Hamilton.
Killam, who portrayed Brad Pitt and Jebidiah Atkinson during his six years on SNL, will play King George III and take over from Rory O’Malley on January 17. Killam recently finished shooting his directorial film debut, Why We’re Killing Gunther, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Killam will join other new cast members Bryan Terrell Clark as George Washington on Jan. 10, Alysha Deslorieux as Peggy Schuyler/Maria Reynolds on December 16 and J. Quinton Johnson as Hercules Mulligan/James Madison on January 6.
