The tennis great stars on Tuesday night on ABC in the Michael Chang Fever episode.
The parents of the Asian-American family featured in the show realise their middle child has the potential to become a tennis star. King is hired to take him to the next level, but they think she may be taking the training too far.
King says she had “so much fun on the set” even though she was out of her “comfort zone, especially with some of the lines in the script.” But the actors and directors “made things easy and enjoyable” for her.
The show is based on Eddie Huang’s memoir about growing up Taiwanese-American during the 1990s in Florida.
