'I am the chosen one,' Karan Veer Mehra said after winning the trophy
Mumbai: Actor Karan Veer Mehra believes he is the "chosen one" after winning back-to-back Hindi reality shows, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14 and Bigg Boss 18.
The Salman Khan-hosted show, Bigg Boss 18, concluded with Karan lifting the trophy after defeating Vivian Dsena early Monday.
After his victory, Karan shared insights about his success mantra and the personal growth he experienced during the show.
Speaking to ANI, Karan said, "I feel very happy. I am the chosen one. I achieved the rare feat of winning back-to-back reality shows. I believed in myself, worked hard, and aimed for the top—and it happened.
"I also discovered a few things about myself, like the fact that I am an emotional person. Earlier, I used to feel bad when I cried over little things, but now I believe it’s okay."
Karan’s Bigg Boss journey was nothing short of a roller-coaster ride. It featured intense arguments with Vivian Dsena and Sara Khan, humorous exchanges with Avinash Mishra, and a budding romance with actress Chum Darang.
Reflecting on his strained relationship with Vivian, Karan admitted feeling jealous of him and acknowledged how their rivalry intensified due to the competition for the trophy.
"When two people compete for the same prize, some bitterness is inevitable. I was also jealous of him because he achieved things much more easily and quickly than I did, which I’ve openly admitted during the show. But he’s also a good family man, and I respect him for that."
A total of six contestants made it to the finale: Karan Veer Mehra, Vivian Dsena, Eisha Singh, Chum Darang, Avinash Mishra, and Rajat Dalal.
