There are four new forums to compete in this year

The Short+Sweet fest is back in the UAE, with a bit of a difference. The 10-minute multi-art platform is celebrating its fourth year in the Emirates by adding four new festivals to its banner.
Get ready for Short+Sweet Poetry, on September 22-23; Short+Sweet Comedy, from December 14-16; Short+Sweet Film, from March 8-10; and Short+Sweet Cabaret (May 12-14).
This is in addition to Short+Sweet Voices (March 15-24), Short+Sweet Dance (November 9-11), and Short+Sweet Bollywood (May 10-12) segments.
Registrations for all festivals, to be held at The Junction in Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz, are now open on shortandsweet.org.
“We are incredibly excited to be launching these new festivals in Dubai over the next 12 months”, said executive producer of Short+Sweet UAE, Alex Broun.
Festival directors include one of Dubai’s leading poets, Zeina Hashem Beck (Poetry), professional Australian musical and stage star Meredith Chipperton (Cabaret), Akansha Goenka, who returns as the director of Short+Sweet Voices and Janvi Hamlai, from top local dance company DANS Middle East, who will be running Short+Sweet Dance and Short+Sweet Bollywood.
