The Dubai Opera is offering special priced tickets for students to watch a dress rehearsal of Aida by the Polish National Opera for just Dh35 on February 13. While the performance will be an abridged version of the full show, students — who are accompanied by their parents — will be able to get a taste of the acclaimed production and interact with award-winning performers and musicians.
A tragic tale of forbidden love composed by Giuseppe Verdi, Aida runs at the Dubai Opera from February 14 to 17. The story follows the struggle and heartache between Nubian princess Aida and the Egyptian warrior Radames and is set to take audiences on a journey of love and loyalty and will be performed in Italian with English subtitles.
Pre-booking is essential for the dress rehearsal, with teachers allowed to accompany students on a complimentary basis.
Tickets to the full show start at Dh350. The Polish National Opera will also perform Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin on February 22 and 23.
