Dubai: Acclaimed Indian filmmaker SS Rajamouli has been accused of harassment and professional sabotage by Uppalapati Srinivasa Rao, a senior Telugu technician who claims to have been a close associate of the director since 1990.

In a video statement and a formal complaint filed at Mettu Police Station on Thursday, Srinivasa Rao alleged that his long-standing disputes with Rajamouli, allegedly linked to a woman, led to both personal and professional turmoil. SS Rajamouli is yet to comment on the damaging allegations.

“I have no option but to die by suicide. Rajamouli is the reason I am still single at 55,” Srinivasa Rao claimed in his statement.

He further alleged that after working with Rajamouli until Yamadonga, his career took a drastic hit due to the filmmaker’s influence.

Despite repeatedly attempting to explain his situation, Srinivasa Rao claimed Rajamouli remained indifferent, allegedly under the woman’s influence.

However, he admitted he had no concrete evidence to support his claims, as the incidents involved only three people. No close associates have publicly backed his allegations so far.

Given the gravity of the accusations, authorities have reportedly requested substantial proof before proceeding with any action. Rajamouli, who is currently busy directing SSMB29 with Mahesh Babu, has yet to respond to the controversy.
