Speculation is swirling in the Indian film industry as actors Dhanush and Mrunal Thakur continue to make headlines over alleged dating rumours.

The buzz intensified after Dhanush was spotted attending a special screening of Son of Sardaar 2, which features Mrunal Thakur and Ajay Devgn in lead roles.

A video clip from the event, now widely shared online, shows the duo engaging in a brief but warm exchange, with Mrunal leaning in to speak to Dhanush privately — further fuelling speculation about their relationship.

The pair have also been seen together at several private gatherings in recent weeks.

Back in July, Mrunal attended a party hosted by writer-producer Kanika Dhillon to celebrate Dhanush’s upcoming film Tere Ishk Mein.

Sources close to the actors claim that Dhanush has introduced Mrunal to his sisters, and she is now following them on Instagram, adding to the growing intrigue.

Although neither actor has made any official comment, fans remain curious about the nature of their bond. Mrunal, who typically keeps her personal life away from the spotlight, has yet to address the rumours.

Dhanush was previously married to Aishwarya Rajinikanth for 18 years before they announced their separation in 2022. The former couple share two sons.

According to industry insiders, both Dhanush and Mrunal prefer to maintain privacy and are unlikely to publicly discuss their relationship anytime soon.

On the professional front, Dhanush is currently working on Idli Kadai, Tere Ishk Mein, and a film directed by Mari Selvaraj. Mrunal, meanwhile, will next be seen in Dacoit: A Love Story opposite Adivi Sesh. She has also made a notable impact in South Indian cinema with films such as Sita Ramam, Hi Nanna, and Kalki 2898 AD.
