From B Praak declining to be a part of his podcast to NHRC's action, the fall out is swift

Dubai: In the wake of the growing controversy surrounding YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, Punjabi singer B Praak has announced he will no longer participate in an upcoming episode of Allahbadia's podcast. Praak condemned Allahbadia’s offensive remarks made on comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show India’s Got Latent, calling them “pathetic” and accusing the content of violating Indian cultural values.
The remarks, which came during an episode featuring Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija, sparked widespread backlash online, leading to formal complaints against Allahbadia, Raina, and others involved in the show.
According to reports, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has also stepped in, urging the removal of the controversial content from YouTube.
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police and the Maharashtra Women’s Commission have been urged to take swift legal action. An FIR has also been filed in Guwahati over the remarks, which have been described as obscene.
According to ANI, the complaint demands strict action against Allahbadia for allegedly using abusive language on the show. The controversy erupted when he posed an unsettling and incestuous hypothetical question to a contestant, which quickly went viral. Clips of the moment spread rapidly across social media, drawing widespread criticism for its nature and tone.
In response to the controversy, Allahbadia yesterday issued an apology, admitting to his mistake and promising to be more considerate in the future.
This incident follows a pattern of criticism surrounding India’s Got Latent, with past episodes also drawing ire for insensitive humor and inappropriate comments.
