Mun ka-young’s My Dearest Nemesis appears to have started off on a good note  and continues to lead its own ratings race. Four episodes have dropped, and fans are already discussing the chemistry between Mun ka-young and Choi Hyun-wook.

As reported by Nielsen Korea, episode 4 of tvN's My Dearest Nemesis achieved a nationwide average viewership rating of 4.1%, marking a 0.4% drop from the previous episode's rating of 4.5%.

What’s My Dearest Nemesis about?

Adapted from a popular webtoon, My Dearest Nemesis follows the story of Ban Ju Yeon (Choi Hyun-wook) and Baek Su Jeong (Mun Ka-young), who first cross paths through their online game avatars during their school years, only to reconnect 16 years later in real life as boss and employee. The characters already appear to be striking a chord with fans, owing to the chemistry between the leads and the unusual storyline.

At the end of the previous episode, Ju-yeon rushes to stop Baek Su-jeong from entering his ‘Secret Room’, his space that had always been off-limits to anyone but him. Cue cuteness and mush.

What’s happening till now?

In the latest episode, the two leads have a pleasant time at the arcade, fully immersed in games like Pump It Up and shooting games. Both characters hate losing, and exhibit fierce competitiveness and determination. The episodes are slowly showing the deep connection between the characters and bringing out their playful, competitive behaviour. We’ve already got a taste of their shared history from online gaming days, which adds more fun to their interactions.

So, how will their relationship evolve? That’s left to be seen.

What are fans saying

Fans have been sharing clips from the show on social media, praising the ‘romantic’ stares between the two, which promise an intense love story. “I’m ready for their dating era,” wrote one. Another wrote, “This storyline hits close to home for people who have a passion in their 20s and 30s, but are told it's not fit for their age.”  One even called the Choi Hyun-wook the ‘realest’ male lead that they’ve seen in ages.

The show is streaming on Viki.
