Diljith Dosanjh and Sia's album, Hass Hass
Diljit Dosanjh and Sia: The will-he-won’t-he question has finally been answered with Punjabi pop star Diljit Dosanjh confirming that he will be collaborating with Australian singer Sia for his new single, ‘Hass Haas’. The song will drop on October 26. Sia’s page had shared artwork of the two musicians, which was titled ‘Hass Hass Diljit X Sia’. Image Credit: Instagram/siamusic

    Camilo and Dijit
Diljit Dosanjh and Camilo: The collaboration with Sia is not the first for Dosanjh, who was the first Punjabi artiste to perform at Coachella this year. He had also teamed up with Spanish singer Camilo for the bilingual single, ‘Palpita’ last month. "This song makes me very proud, not just because we did it, but what it means in my career and what we are building between his country and mine," Camilo told Rolling Stone in an interview. Ed Sheeran and Armaan Malik
Armaan Malik and Ed Sheeran: Ed Sheeran dropped ‘2Step’ two years ago in April, but that was not the end of it. The four-time Grammy winner soon teamed up with several artistes from different countries for new versions of the song. Indian pop star Armaan Malik was one of them. This marks Malik's second international collaboration after 'Echo', which saw him team up with Korean-American singer Eric Nam and American producer KSHMR. Image Credit: Instagram/armaanmalik

    King and Nick Jonas
King and Nick Jonas: Indian rapper King and American singer Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers’ fame (in India, he resonates more as Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra’s husband) teamed up for an “enhanced version” of King's chartbuster ‘Maan Meri Jaan’. “We've given a brand new twist to the emotion of love beyond death and we hope the audience will love the visuals that bring together both of our identities," King told Rolling Stone last March. Ricky Kej and Stewart Copeland
Ricky Kej and Stewart Copeland: Indian musician Ricky Kej and rock legend Stewart Copeland are a winning combination. Their collaborative album, Divine Tides, won a Grammy this year and Kej went so far as to tell The Times of India, “I will continue collaborating with Copeland till he is sick and tired of me.” So yes, there’s another collab in the offing. Stay tuned. Image Credit: instagram/rickykej

    B Alvin and Badshah
Badshah and J Balvin: Indian artiste Badshah tapped J Balvin and producer Tainy for his new single, ‘Voodoo.’ “J Balvin is like an idol to me,” Badshah said in a press release. “He’s been doing what I have been trying to do in my own space, and the way he’s made a way for himself despite the language, despite the odds, really inspired me.” And ‘Voodoo’ is magical, according to fans. Kylie Minogue and A R Rahman
A R Rahman and Kylie Minogue: This pairing is a tad different, with A R Rahman teaming up with Australian pop star Kylie Minogue for the film, ‘Blue’. The 40-year-old singer plays herself in the film, and also performs a set-piece song-and-dance routine in the thriller, starring Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Katrina Kaif. The song was called ‘Chiggy Wiggy’ and, of course, it made headlines. But not all were pleased with the result. Like Sonu Nigam, who lent his voice for the song, but felt that the song was poorly executed and someone like Minogue should have been better utilised. Image Credit: Gulf News Archives
