Playboi Carti recently released his much awaited album, Music
Dubai: It wasn’t long ago that American rapper Playboi Carti announced and released his much-awaited album, Music, after almost five years.
Following the release on March 14, after a delay, Carti’s third album became Spotify’s most-streamed album in a single day in 2025, so far, according to billboard.
While the 30-track project included collaborations with artists like Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Future, The Weeknd and more, there was one surprising collaboration Carti wanted. A collaboration with Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s daughter, North West.
In an Instagram story recently, Carti tagged Kim in a story which was then reposted by her on her own Instagram story.
“Tell me… niece North send me a song,” he said.
This led to Kanye West, aka Ye, to take a jab at Carti on X, previously Twitter. He said, “Hey North your dad gave me my biggest song and co-sign and I left him off my album because of his tweets. Oh but North you my niece I gotta use your vocals.”
Ye also went ahead and shared a separate post where he said, “I held my tongue about MOT [sic] being on Carti album. Him (Carti) going to my ex to ask my daughter to be on a song two days later was too far. Nobody finna play with me,” according to The Independent.
According to reports, Carti mentioned the collaboration on his Instagram story after Kanye West had dropped a new song recently titled, Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine, which features his daughter North, disgraced rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs and his son, King Combs.
