Grammy-winning rapper Lil Nas X was reportedly arrested and hospitalised early Thursday after being found wandering the streets in Los Angeles, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The 25-year-old artist, whose real name is Montero Lamar Hill, was allegedly spotted around 4am on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City.

TMZ published video footage showing the rapper wearing only underwear and cowboy boots while walking disoriented in the middle of the road.

In a statement cited by The Hollywood Reporter, the Los Angeles Police Department said officers responded to reports of a man “walking in the middle of the road and incoherent.”

Police added that the individual charged at officers upon arrival and was taken into custody. He was then transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation of a “possible overdose” and later arrested on suspicion of battery on a police officer.

While LAPD has not officially released the suspect’s name, multiple outlets, including ABC7, reported that the individual was identified as Lil Nas X.

The rapper, best known for his chart-topping hit Old Town Road, has previously made headlines for his bold performances, unapologetic fashion, and boundary-pushing music videos.
