Pakistani actor Wahaj Ali, who won much praise as Murtasim in Tere Bin, is ready to make a splash again. After a brief hiatus following the wrap of Sunn Mere Dil in February, Wahaj is gearing up for his 2025 comeback with a role that’s already creating buzz.

His upcoming series Jinn Ki Shadi Unki Shadi, set to air on Hum TV goes for something new: It's a fresh twist with its horror-comedy theme and unique pairing.

Sehar Khan as the female lead

Joining Wahaj is Sehar Khan, celebrated for picking strong scripts like Jafaa and Tan Man Neelo Neel. She’ll portray a quirky, powerful Jinn whose character drives the story.

A horror-comedy

Written by Syed Nabeel and directed by Saif e Hasan, the drama boasts a stellar supporting cast including Wahaj Ali, Sehar Khan, Arsalan Naseer, Romaisa Khan, Sidra Niazi, Laiba Butt, Syed Jibran, Irfan Motiwala, Nadia Afgan, and Tamkenat Mansoor.

The drama is slated for a September premiere, though an official release date is still under wraps.

Looking back at Tere Bin...

If you're still new to Wahaj Ali shows, maybe you should try watching Tere Bin, first, where he plays a feudal lord, ruling a Sindhi village. In the show, he is constantly at odds with his rival Malik Mukhtar. Meerab (Yumna Zaidi), a daring law student from Karachi, enters the scene, but family politics quickly intervene. Murtasim’s conservative mother shocks everyone by announcing an unexpected alliance between the two. Their reluctant union becomes even more tangled as long-buried family secrets surface.

There's rivalry, obsession and betray, and let's just be honest, it's a riveting, turbulent love story.
