Former One Direction member Zayn Malik and singer Perrie Edwards have called off their engagement.
A representative for Malik confirmed on Tuesday the couple had ended their engagement. No other details were provided.
Both Malik and Edwards are 22. The singers became engaged in 2013.
Edwards spoke on the E! channel in the US where she and the other threee members of the girl group Little Mix are promoting their music.
Asked how she is doing, Edwards replied: ‘I’m good, thank you.’
Malik has not commented, although he posted an image of a lotus flower on a piano that no doubt had fans speculating over its meaning.
Like One Direction, Little Mix formed on the UK version of The X Factor. The girls won the competition in 2011.
Malik left One Direction earlier this year to launch a solo career. He announced last week that he signed a recording contract to release music as a solo artist.
