In a telling selfie that evokes joy and jealousy in equal measure, Priyanka Chopra revealed her flashy engagement ring from Nick Jonas as she pouted prettily with her friend Raveena Tandon in Mumbai.
The Quantico star, who has made a dramatic exhibition of hiding her Tiffany engagement rock from the waiting paparazzi at the Mumbai airport, seems to have thrown caution to the winds.
The sparkler, that could gouge an eye out, was seen in Chopra’s salon-perfect hands as she took a playful selfie uploaded by Bollywood actress Tandon who captioned it with: “Peecee and I getting our pouts in order.”
It’s the first time that the world has been acquainted with the ring presented by fiance Jonas in July on Chopra’s birthday eve. The pop idol reportedly shut down Tiffany & Co as he ring-shopped in private setting unrealistic boyfriend goals across the globe.
The couple, who recently met Chopra’s new bestie Meghan Markle with Jonas, have consistently kept a lid on their private life.
Recently, Chopra told the press in Mumbai that she wanted to keep some parts of her life private.
“My entire life — my personal life — is not for public consumption ... Ninety per cent of my life is for public consumption, but 10 per cent is for me. I’m a girl; I have the right to keep that to myself,” Chopra was quoted as saying. She added that she had the right to keep her relationships private.
“My family, my friendships and my relationships are things I don’t think I need to defend or explain to anyone,” she added.
While that’s Chopra’s prerogative, there’s no ignoring the rock on her finger and how rock steady this couple seems to be.
