If there’s magic and fantasy involved, can Dubai be far behind?

tabloid! can reveal that UAE’s top designer, Furne One, known for his ethereal creations, played a part in creating Paris Hilton’s latest video for her single Come Alive.

In the music video filled with fairies, floral swings and unicorns, the socialite and singer is seen wearing a glittering bustier and high-waisted 1940s shorts, designed by the Filipino designer.

“I was thrilled to see her wear my creation... the swings and those roses went perfectly well with the magical theme,” said One in an interview with tabloid!. While he’s yet to meet Hilton in person, her management got in touch with him to give him the brief.

“They wanted something that was glittering, fantasy-like and magical. I told them to check what I had in my Los Angeles store and they picked that one,” he added.

One (pronounced on-ay), who also dressed Katy Perry in her single Wide Awake and made his New York Fashion Week debut in February this year, says that such projects involving stylish singers help him unleash his creativity.

“It’s every designer’s dream to work with popstars because your ideas can be limitless. You can be as creative as you want while designing for them. For instance on the red carpet, a dress cannot overpower the star but in a music video for a pop star, you can let yourself go,” said One. In the past, he has dressed a galaxy of Hollywood stars including Heidi Klum, Jennifer Lopez and Joan Collins.

“When I put up a fashion show, 60 to 70 per cent of my collection is for my clients. But for the other 30 per cent, I experiment a lot more. Those will fit the theme of what a pop star is looking for,” he said.
